With more than 20 years of professional practice, Manuel is the Partner in charge of the Digital Area at BPV and collaborates with the M&A and Innovation Areas.

His expertise includes Intellectual Property, Outsourcing, Technology Contracting and M&A Tech, as well as advising international and local start-ups. He also has a long track record in Data Protection as Data Protection Officer (DPO) and in advising on digital business for different sectors, where he is a renowned expert.

Prior to heading the Digital Practice Area at BPV, Manuel worked for multinational service companies such as Ernst & Young, international law firms such as Fieldfisher, consulting firms such as Crowe as well as IP/IT and M&A Corporate boutiques, both on the legal and transactional side. Prior to practicing law, he was an entrepreneur in the ICT sector.

José Antonio has over 30 years of experience in civil, commercial, and criminal litigation, 20 of which are specialized in industrial and intellectual property proceedings.
Currently, his main practice focuses on copyright litigation for the entertainment industry and various well-known artists, as well as litigation on trademark and design infringement, patents, unfair competition, and customs control proceedings.
He represents the Motion Picture Association (MPA), the association of leading U.S. film studios, in all its legal actions against piracy since 2015. In 2022, he received the MPA award for Best Global Anti-Piracy Strategy.
He has extensive experience as a speaker on industrial and intellectual property topics. He has delivered in-person lectures, among others, at the Cannes Film Festival (2019), at various events of the U.S. association Intellectual Property Owners (IPO) in Washington DC in 2019 and in Los Angeles in 2022, and during a 2019 Asia-Pacific tour sponsored by the MPA, including lectures in Australia, New Zealand, and Tokyo as part of the official events of the international film festival and for CODA (Content Overseas Development Association, the association of Japanese content creators) in Tokyo in April 2025. He has also given online lectures at prestigious forums such as the IFTA (Independent Film & Television Alliance, the U.S. association of independent producers and content creators) in 2021, for CODA in 2022 and 2023, and for ASIPI (Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property) in 2022.
He is regularly recognized by leading legal directories in the field of intellectual property, such as Legal 500, Chambers&Partners, World Trademark Review, IAM Patent, and Managing IP Awards.

Lawyer specializing in intellectual property, data protection, and new technologies, with nearly ten years of experience advising large and medium-sized companies across various sectors (IT, health, consumer goods, fashion, cultural, financial...). both nationally and internationally. Silvia is part of the Digital Law team at BPV Abogados, where she provides legal advice in these areas.

Mónica has over 16 years’ experience in providing legal advice to national and multinational companies.

She specializes in civil, commercial litigation, and in the resolution of judicial and extrajudicial conflicts.

Mónica has managed and handled a wide number of proceedings before the Spanish Courts and Tribunals: of a civil and commercial nature: claims for payment, claims regarding interpretation, termination and breach of contracts (among others, sale and purchase agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements, agency agreements and lease agreements), claims regarding directors’ liability, claims for damages arising from infringement of competition law, claims for eviction and claims for enforcement of judicial and other types of resolutions, among others, and of a criminal nature: regarding unfair administration, misappropriation, revelation and disclosure of secrets and industrial property, among others.

Member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) with experience in providing legal advice to companies, specializing in Intellectual Property, Digital Law, and Commercial Contract Law. Educated at the Autonomous University of Madrid and the Complutense University of Madrid, he has practical experience in intellectual property, contract drafting, civil and commercial litigation, digital compliance, and the management of intangible assets.

Graduated in Spanish and French Law, she complemented her education with a Master's in Commercial Law in France. She is currently pursuing the Master's in Access to the Legal Profession, specializing in Intellectual Property, Industrial Property, ICT, and Data Protection.

Jana is part of the Digital Law team at BPV Abogados, where she provides legal assistance in these areas.

Oliver Cobos is a trainee in the Digital Law department at BPV Abogados, where he advises on data protection, artificial intelligence, and technology contracting. He holds a Double Degree in Law and Global Governance, Economics & Legal Order from ESADE, where he was awarded the Law School’s Professional Council Scholarship, and he has completed the Double Master’s Degree for Admission to the Bar with a specialization in Intellectual Property, Industrial Property, and New Technologies. His background includes experience at Deloitte Legal, Uría Menéndez, and Fieldfisher, which has enabled him to develop a strong foundation in technology advisory, privacy, and digital regulation.
